About Rhode Island Parent Information Network
Who we are:
RIPIN is an organization of peer professionals supporting people with special healthcare and education needs. What does it mean to be a peer professional? Most of our employees have experience navigating systems of care in Rhode Island for themselves or on behalf of a loved one with special needs. You could be our next peer professional. Founded in 1991 by a group of parents of children with special needs, RIPIN continues to be peer-led. RIPIN’s peer professionals now help more than 45,000 Rhode Islanders every year navigate healthcare, schools, and other support systems. Are you looking to use your experience to help others?
Where we are:
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, a majority of us are working remotely to keep supporting individuals and families.
RIPIN staff members can be found throughout our community from Woonsocket to Westerly – in our offices in Warwick, part of care teams in patient-centered medical home settings and physician practices, embedded in programming at other community-based organizations and state agencies, as well as primary and secondary educational settings across the state. Whether you are working directly with individuals and families or helping to support our staff in the community behind the scenes from our main office... we are all together!
Please note: As of January 4, 2022, all persons employed by RIPIN are required to have completed a full vaccination series against the COVID-19 virus or submit to weekly COVID-19 PCR testing.
