About Banfi Vintners
Bringing vino by the boatload to the US has made Banfi Vintners one of the largest wine importers in the country. A unit of Banfi Products Corporation, the company distributes well-known labels, including Riunite (Italy) and Concha y Toro (Chile), Walnut Crest (Chile), Stonehaven (Australia), and TriVento (Argentina), to distributors throughout the US. The company also makes wine at its 7,100-acre estate, Castello Banfi, in Italy's Tuscany and sparkling wine in Italy's Piedmont region at its Vini Regali and Principessa Gavia estates. It exports its wines to some 85 countries worldwide. Founded in 1919 by John Mariani Sr., Banfi is run by his two grandchildren, James Mariani and Cristina Mariani-May.
