About Loffredo Fresh Foods
Loffredo Fresh Foods has been growing and distributing fresh fruits and vegetables for nearly 130 years, since Giuseppe Loffredo established Loffredo Fruit and Tobacco Company in Des Moines in 1892. Today, in addition to those stables, we partner with global and local growers to distribute so much more. From dairy to nuts to spices to oil and more (even kitchen essentials), we have it, and we provide it in a way that ensures the best quality and service.

All that mattered was working together to unload the 13,000lbs. of fresh produce from the truck to help feed our neighbors in need."

Loffredo Fresh Foods offered a mix of fresh produce, dairy, and dry goods at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines at no cost during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this difficult and unknown time, we wanted to offer free produce to the families in our community. By helping others and leaning on one another during this time, we believe we will be stronger together.
