About Woodfords Family Services
Woodfords Family Services was founded in 1967 by five families who wanted to provide specialized educational services to their children with disabilities. Over the course of 50 years, the agency has grown into one of the largest providers of disability-related services in the state.
Based in Westbrook with satellite locations in New Gloucester, Manchester and Waterville, the agency provides an array of clinical, behavioral health and educational programs to more than 1,500 children, youth and adults living with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses across the state. Additionally, the agency has a statewide Training & Resource Center that offers a variety of training programs to parents, professionals and interested community members.
Woodfords is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA), whose program of quality improvement is designed to identify providers that have met high performance standards and have made a commitment to their stakeholders to deliver the very best quality services.
Woodfords employees believe in the work they do. An incredible 88% of the agency’s full and part-time employees are financial donors to the agency. Since 2011, Woodfords employees have contributed more than $50,000 to the programs and consumers with whom they work.
