Intersport Elverys is Ireland's longest established sports store. Following a takeover by Staunton Sports in 1998, Elverys expanded from a single store operation to fifty six stores nationwide. Today, we employ nearly 800 people across Ireland, and are proud to be wholly Irish owned.
We cater for both the casual sporting community and top sports athletes. Our business has been built on a high level of customer service, quality sports goods, reliability and above all instilling confidence in the public that Intersport Elverys is the authentic retail store for those with a passion for sport.
IT’S OUR TIME, OWN IT – CELEBRATE, INSPIRE AND SHINE A LIGHT ON WOMEN IN SPORTWe cater for both the casual sporting community and top sports athletes. Our business has been built on a high level of customer service, quality sports goods, reliability and above all instilling confidence in the public that Intersport Elverys is the authentic retail store for those with a passion for sport.
Intersport Elverys #OwnIt campaign aims to shine a light on women and celebrate women in sport. There’s never been a more inspiring time for women to take centre stage and recognise their potential.
We’re proud to share the story of women in sport – first hand – through the voices and experiences of female athletes themselves. We believe sport and exercise fuels positivity and can make a huge difference to women’s lives. Here at Intersport Elverys we’re ingrained in Irish women’s sport through our partnerships with Irish women’s teams including the Irish 7s, Mayo LGFA and Dublin LGFA & Camogie and we feel this gives us a great insight into women in sport!
Over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing the stories of well known women in Irish sport, including athletes like;
Sophie O'Sullivan - Irish Runner and Athlete
Sarah Rowe - Irish GAA player
Natalya Coyle - Irish Pentathlon Athlete
Megan Williams - Irish Rugby player
Mary Kate Slattery - Irish Boxer
It was a pleasure meeting these women first hand and hearing about their respective sports. All who aspire to have the much needed conversation about women and women in sport.
