An independent children’s home health care agency, PHS is here for one reason: helping kids with medical complexities live as fully as possible – at home, with their families, where they belong. We do this by providing comprehensive pediatric home care services across the United States.

Our team has been partnering with health care professionals, payers and family caregivers for nearly 30 years. From insurance and technical support to hugs when things get overwhelming, PHS offers complete support for families.

Since we opened, thousands of kids have outlived expectations and successfully transitioned to adulthood.

PHS lends a helping hand in many ways

Through Sharing Care, PHS’s outreach program, we support a range of activities and organizations that enhance the lives of children who have medical complexities. It’s one more way we’re able to serve the children we care for.

PHS employees hold blood drives and volunteer as baseball and basketball buddies. We clean up and cook meals and donate toys and time. We raise money and spirits.

Everyone at Pediatric Home Service, whatever the job description, contributes to making a big difference in the lives of hundreds of children by helping them to thrive at home. They’ll all tell you these extraordinary kiddos make a big difference in their lives too.

INSURANCE

Full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, vision, accidental injury, flexible spending, life and disability benefits on the first of the month following the date of hire.

- Health: PHS offers two Blue Cross Blue Shield plans along with a health savings account (HSA) to help fund deductibles. The PHS contribution to the HSA is: $750 for Single (Employee Only) and $1,450 for Family.
- Dental: Insurance through Delta Dental.
- Vision: Insurance through EyeMed.
- Flexible Spending: Save pre-tax dollars for eligible dependent care expenses.
- Life and Disability: PHS pays 100% of short/long term disability insurance premiums. PHS pays life insurance equal to the employee’s annual salary.
- Accidental Injury: Insurance through Cigna.

401K RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN

- Available to all employees after a 90-day waiting period.
- After one year of service and working 1,000 hours, PHS matches 25 percent of the first 6 percent contributed by the employee.

HOLIDAYS, LEAVE, PAID TIME OFF AND HOLIDAY LEAVE PAY

Full-time Employee (pro-rated for Part-time)

- Eight holidays off (For nurses only, time and a half pay including Easter)
- Employees can accrue a generous amount of PTO as well as holiday leave pay.
- All regular full-time employees and part-time are eligible for up to five days of paid leave for bereavement, jury duty and donation of bone marrow.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

- Individual growth and professional development is encouraged.
- PHS pays the full cost of pre-approved dues related to certain professional associations and a defined amount for professional training.
- PHS offers clinical classes to employees at no cost.
- Employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement for approved education related to their jobs.

HOME CARE NURSES

- PHS offers a number of shift differentials for all home care nurses.
