A Shift in Thinking
As leading companies continue to drive sustainability in their business, they scrutinize every point of their supply chain, including the packaging used to move their product. Reusable plastic containers, pallets, dunnage and bulk systems improve the flow product all along the supply chain, to reduce costs, enhance profitability and add sustainability.
Helping Customers Drive Sustainability and Efficiency with Our Proven 5-Step Process
ORBIS helps world-class customers move their product faster, safer and more cost-effectively. Using a proven approach, ORBIS experts analyze their customers’ systems, design a solution and execute a reusable packaging program for longer-term cost savings and sustainability.
- Analyze: Carefully analyze the current system to determine a preliminary recommendation
- Prove: Demonstrate return on packaging investment
- Design: Fully plan and design the solution
- Implement: Seamless integration
- Evolve: Continuous improvement
By design, reusable plastic totes, pallets, dunnage and bulk systems are used over and over during the course of their service life. At the end of their life, they can be recovered, recycled and reprocessed into new packaging products...without entering the solid waste stream.
Sustainability is at our Core
Using life-cycle assessments to compare reusable and single-use packaging, we also help our customers reduce their overall environmental impact. ORBIS is a part of Menasha Corporation, one of the oldest family-owned manufacturers in the United States. As a steward of sustainability, ORBIS is committed to a better world for future generations. We track and measure our own resource utilization to continuously conserve natural resources and reduce waste.

ORBIS Corporation strives to make a positive difference in communities in which we operate by supporting organizations, agencies and projects that benefit people in a variety of ways.
Menasha Corporation was founded by Elisha D. Smith in 1849. He was a tremendous philanthropist in the Menasha, Wis. area. Today, the Menasha Corporation Foundation proudly carries on the tradition of Elisha Smith’s giving. We strongly believe that our business can and should play a role in the health and welfare of society.
With funding made available through the Menasha Corporation Foundation, ORBIS has a Community Action Team at each of its facilities to serve the local, geographic communities in which its employees live.
Each team identifies and selects groups, agencies and causes in its local community that are in need of financial support, time or volunteers. These groups are often within a reasonable geographic location of that ORBIS facility and bring social benefits to employees and the community. Funding is made possible by the Menasha Corporation Foundation, which has guidelines for giving. Beneficiaries must demonstrate a need in the following categories:
1. Safe and Healthy Citizens
The Foundation supports health and wellness related research, education, support services and treatment programs.
2. An Educated Society
The Foundation supports learning experiences and opportunities at the primary, secondary and higher education levels for public and private institutions; workforce development; and public broadcasting.
3. Community Betterment
The Foundation supports theater and the arts; and libraries, museums and historical societies.
4. Environmental Sustainability
The Foundation supports programs that encourage the understanding, protection and sustainability of our natural resources.
