About Foundations Behavioral Health
Established in 1964, Foundations Behavioral Health provides treatment in a homelike environment located on a 12-acre campus in Bucks County, Pa. and provides a comprehensive network of behavioral, psychiatric, educational, and community services offered for children, adolescents and young adults. Services include: 24/7 Clinical Assessment Center, Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Units, Acute Care Autism and Development Delay Inpatient Unit, Residential Treatment, Intensive Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization, Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services, and Treatment Foster Care Services.

Foundations Behavioral Health provides treatment with focused attention to four critical cornerstones: Safety, Clinical Integrity, Customer Service, and Best Practices. The Cornerstones are reflected throughout the individual programs to provide the greatest opportunity for “healing kids with success.”

Programs and Services
Comprehensive treatment at Foundations Behavioral Health begins with individual and family engagement to create a collaborative understanding of problematic behaviors/illnesses. From this understanding, individuals and families are provided with tools and a compass to navigate life’s challenges. The Foundations Treatment Team incorporates innovative, ethical, evidence-based, culturally responsive, and individualized treatment interventions while providing a nurturing, trauma-informed, and compassionate therapeutic environment. Each consumer’s treatment experience is individually tailored with strategic interventions and evidence based practices in order to precisely measure and track progress towards improved health and quality of life.

Each child and adolescent in our care has an interdisciplinary team of professionals engaging and guiding treatment in a patient-and family-focused approach collaborating and consulting with parents, families, caregivers, and key supporters.
LifeWorks Schools
The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school affected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. LifeWorks comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized and designed to actively engage each student throughout the day to achieve positive, pro-social behavioral and educational outcomes. Our unique balance of academic rigor and a continuum of evidence based educational/therapeutic supports make LifeWorks the regional provider of choice.

Autism Sprectrum Disorders Center for Excellence
Foundations Behavioral Health provides innovative behavioral health treatment and academic services to children, adolescents, and young adults diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis. Foundations Behavioral Health’s Autism Center for Excellence delivers programs with a consistent and integrated approach that draws on the latest evidence-based practices.

LifeWorks Autism Academy

LifeWorks Academy is a licensed private academic school that provides a research based applied behavioral and educational program to students in middle and high school identified as having an Autism Spectrum Disorder, Aspergers, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. LifeWorks Academy’s behavior improvement system is guided by the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavior Supports.

Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services (BHRS)

Foundations Behavioral Health offers specialized BHRS for children and adolescents diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. The treatment team incorporates the fundamentals of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA). BHRS is unique given that clinicians help individuals/families with behavioral health problems by providing services in the natural environment including homes, schools, and community locations. BHRS is offered in Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties.

Acute Inpatient Autism Spectrum Disorders Program

Foundations Behavioral Health’s Acute Inpatient ASD Unit fills a critical gap in the spectrum of services for children and adolescents diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Diagnoses or a related disability who are experiencing or are in crisis. Foundations Behavioral Health individually tailors each child’s treatment experience and strategic interventions in order to precisely measure, track progress towards improved health and quality of life by integrating safety, behavioral functioning, social development, communication abilities, academic / vocational achievement, family education and support.
