The History of Gaughan Companies

In 1969, Patrick J. Gaughan, founder and President of the Gaughan Companies, built a business on general contracting, development and property management through his leadership and commitment to quality residency, high standards of maintenance, controlled operational costs and financial return to the projects investors. In the twenty-seven years he led the organization, he and the investors experienced prosperity. The company developed a reputation for sustainable, consistent results completing over seventy significant real estate projects, built or acquired by Gaughan Companies in the Midwest.

In 1996 Patrick J. Gaughan passed away and in accordance with his father’s wishes Patrick M. Gaughan purchased the company from the remaining family members. Patrick M. Gaughan expanded the company’s services to include third party property and asset management and a professional brokerage department providing commercial real estate sales and leasing. Over the last eleven years he has completed over fifteen significant real estate projects.
