About Universal Community Behavioral Health
Universal Community Behavioral Health offers outpatient clinics in central Pennsylvania to address a variety of needs including crisis intervention, blended case management, and school-based mental health evaluation and treatment. UCBH outpatient clinics provide psychiatric services including medication management and counseling services. UCBH outpatient services aim to assist individuals in improving their current level of functioning so they have the opportunity to be successful in family, educational, occupational and social settings. Therapists with various clinical specialties are available to work with children, adolescents, adults and older adults to enhance an individual’s natural support system while actively involving the person in all aspects of treatment. Psychiatrists are available for evaluation and treatment. At most clinics, intensive outpatient services provide rapid access and stabilization through a program that meets several times per week and includes group, individual and/or family therapy, psychiatric treatment, and nursing services as needed.

UCBH contracted with Centre County MH/MR in 1995 to develop a premier crisis intervention service. Since its inception, our crisis services have grown to provide inclusive services that are client centered, promote the individuals path towards recovery, collaborative with mental health professionals and community partners; advocate for a positive resolution and assist the individual through the crisis. Our crisis services support the communities we serve by being active in suicide prevention efforts, Crisis Intervention Team and police alliance, public education and outreach.
