Truetox Laboratories, LLC.

Truetox Laboratories, LLC was incorporated in August 2012. Located in Garden City Park, NY, the company provides medication management and drug testing to help clinicians deal effectively with substance misuse or addiction.

In early 2012 the founders of United Diagnostics, the largest provider of sleep diagnostics & therapy in New York as well as a leading national provider of Ambulatory EEG testing, made a strategic decision to join the fight against opiate and illicit drug addiction. This decision was predicated on a number of catalysts. First, they all lived in Long Island which was, and still is, being ravaged by a horrific heroin epidemic. Secondly, Dr. Michael Bianco a founding partner and practicing anesthesiologist, had recently sold his pain management practice and recognized the huge gap in quality urine drug testing programs in New York. And, finally, United Sleep Diagnostics had long recognized the relationship between long term opiate use and significant central sleep apnea, confounding patient’s ability to recover properly. Therefore, we believed we had a decent understanding of the markets dynamics.
The company was capitalized shortly thereafter, debt free.

Truetox’s initial market was to work with its sister company’s base of approximately 500 United Diagnostics referring physicians. In September 2015 it added two new partners, Matt Thompson and Nelson Reyes to grow its substance abuse business. Thompson and Reyes have significant experience in building and running methadone, OTP and IOP programs. Since their arrival, the company has enjoyed rapid growth in New Jersey, New York and Florida and expansion plans are underway in the mid-Atlantic as well. In addition to state-of-the-art lab instrumentation, Truetox has also invested heavily in lab information technology in order to meet ongoing customer demand for greater interfacing abilities and data mining.
