About Red Stick Armature Works
Red Stick Armature Works is the oldest, locally owned, complete electric motor repair, sales, and service shop in the Alabama / Mississippi / Louisiana region.
We have 38,000 sq. ft. repair facility, with a climate controlled clean winding department, 12’ x 12’ VPI tank, complete machine shop with four lathes, vertical and horizontal boring mills, and two milling machines, complete welding shop, and test equipment that includes AWA Surge, PdMA MCE, Phenix Core Loss testers, SKF analyzers, laser alignment equipment, and dynamometer load tester.
We have two climate controlled storage facilities totaling 31,000 sq ft. with two 20-ton and one 30-ton cranes and a 7,000 sq ft palletized, climate control building to house our new motors and VFD drives. We stock ABB, Baldor, Reliance, and Toshiba motors through 2500 HP along with low and medium voltage variable frequency drives.
We provide on-going training for both our employees and clients through specialized technical courses with many being sponsored by the industry.
In our Field Service Division, we maintain a 24 hour, full time staff with specialized service vehicles exclusively equipped for on-site field service, testing, and motor repair.
Our Engineering Automation Services Division can service drives, DCS integration, PLC programming, instrumentation, excitation controls, and motor protection relay needs.
