About Current Electrical Construction
Current Electrical was founded in 1984 with the idea that commercial electrical work could be as relationship driven as residential work. In the past 35 years we have developed strong partnerships with our general contractors and have designed and installed top of the line lighting and electrical systems. Current Electrical is a member of the Associated General Contractors of America and the Independent Electrical Contractors of Oregon. By participating in both local and national construction trade organizations, Current Electrical is always looking to better the industry’s training methods, safety experiences and contract language. Our apprentices are skillfully trained by the Area 1 JATC, a BOLI and BAT certified 4-year apprenticeship program.
Safety
The safety of our employees is of the utmost importance, not just while at work, but at all times. For this reason, Current Electricals’ safety program works to encourage safe practices and wellbeing as a regular daily practice in all aspects of our employees lives. We recognize that accidents can happen at any time, whether you’re on or off the clock. Therefore, we have employed a multi-faceted approach to safety conducting monthly trainings which focus on safe work practices, safe life practices, and personal wellness. Our employees also participate in our general contractors’ safety meetings and programs on a daily or weekly basis.

Commercial Electrical
Commercial electrical construction includes offices, tenant improvements, retail, schools and churches. Some projects consist merely of a core and shell of a new building. Still others are complete remodels, upgrading electrical service and integrating new system components, such as a generator or UPS system.
Industrial Electrical
Industrial and manufacturing electrical work requires power for large equipment, machinery, motors and generators. It often necessitates higher voltages and increased system capacity. High-bay facilities will often feature unique lighting considerations. Our experience in this area ranges from warehouses to distribution facilities to manufacturing plants.
Design/Build Systems
Our design/build project teams pair our best project engineers with our brightest project managers. Each team member is versed in the most current, efficient and effective methods of electrical design and construction. Their experience in design/build enables us to deliver a quality project -on time and on budget- that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Electrical Service
A well-run preventative maintenance program can virtually eliminate unexpected failures and ensure a consistently reliable electrical system. Regular preventative maintenance can be far more cost-effective than the alternatives. Our service electricians are versed in a wide variety of work, from problem troubleshooting to small upgrade projects to emergency service and ongoing maintenance.
