We believe in "Doing the Right Thing"...one member, one employee, and one situation at a time.
Capital Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution in Northeastern Wisconsin, which focuses on the needs of over 100,000 members and growing. With over a billion dollars in assets, we are an organization that grows by our philosophy of "Doing the Right Thing" through our business practices and community involvement.
We do it by being advocates for our members."I couldn't be more proud of how our staff remains dedicated to giving back in the community. When a call goes out for volunteers, I am always amazed at the response of our employees. With the variety of events including walks/runs, building, blood drives, etc., there is always something for everyone who wants to be involved."
-Tom Young, Capital CU President

We're passionate about assisting in our communities. In 2019, 66% of Capital CU employees volunteered a total of nearly 3,000 hours to organizations in their community.
We also encourage our employees to stay active and participate in the many health initiatives that Capital offers. Capital employees have been excited to show their support at many local fundraising walks and runs throughout the year. There are also been 10 blood drives held throughout the year at two Capital CU locations in partnership with the American Red Cross which collected 241 units of blood, translating into 723 saved lives.
To also go along with our ongoing health initiatives, Capital offers employees the opportunity to become CPR and First Aid certified- 61 employees are currently certified.

"Giving back and serving in a capacity that I'm not obligated to do, is my idea of service. I volunteer because it allows me to become part of the community I live in and make a difference. By donating time, I help an organization who exists to help others."
-Erin, Capital CU Employee
"I love that Capital CU places such an emphasis on the importance of volunteering. It helps the community, plus it warms your heart while you're doing it! There are so many organizations out there that are always looking for volunteers- more people just need to find their passion and join the others out there that are working towards the same goal!"

We recognize that not everyone has the same financial situation, and that some may need a little extra assistance. We are proud to be able to work with many local organizations that help those in our communities that need it most.
Capital holds an annual "Bell Ringing Match Day", where employees volunteer to ring bells around the Fox Cities for the Salvation Army. Capital matched the amount raised on that day, for a grand total of $51,800.

2019 brought many new opportunities for Capital Credit Union including the opening of Capital Credit Union Park- home of the Green Bay Booyah. This naming sponsorship allowed Capital to be a part of this fun, family environment for years to come.
During it's first season, Capital Credit Union park raised over $40,000 for area non-profit organizations through ticket fundraisers, 50-50 raffles and jersey raffles. The park also offered FREE youth soccer and baseball camps, youth league games, community movie nights, as well as high school sport practices and games.
We are excited to see Capital Credit Union Park grow in the future and continue to be a part of the Capital Credit Union Mission.

Each year in May, our branches and individual departments pull together to raise money for our Fighting Homelessness Campaign. Our branches get creative and have fun planning cook outs, drawings and fun outings to help raise money.
In 2019, the Fighting Homelessness Campaign raised $42,000 thanks to the generosity of our members, employees and community partners. This was a $5,000 increase from 2018!
These funds are donated to St.John's Homeless Shelter (Green Bay), Pillars Homeless Shelter (Fox Cities) and SAM25 (Shawano).
