As a company, we are increasing our efforts to educate all employees across the company to better understand race-related issues and foster important conversations around inclusion and diversity through town hall meetings, anti-racism and anti-bias training, and through periodic communications to highlight the voices and stories of underrepresented minorities and to educate our employees on diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences.

We are enhancing our recruiting efforts by establishing strong relationships with select HCBUs, conducting on-campus recruiting & funding scholarships for talented students to become future employees at Watts. We are strengthening our requirements that a diverse slate of candidates be interviewed & considered for all professional job openings. We are also leveraging our existing leadership development program to create more of a focus on developing & mentoring underrepresented employees.

Joseph Watts founded our company in 1874 on the belief that water boilers in textile mills shouldn’t explode. What started with a pressure relief valve in a tiny New England machine shop, has paved the way for today’s high-quality, worldwide water solution technologies. From melting ice on entire city blocks from the ground up to filtering safe drinking water in isolated, weather disaster zones, you need water and water needs Watts.

As a global leader of quality water solutions, our company realizes the value of clean drinking water. In 2016, Watts partnered with Planet Water, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing clean water to the world’s most impoverished communities through the installation of community-based water filtration systems. To date, our organizations have brought clean water to approximately 30,000 people in Cambodia, China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Philippines, Thailand and Puerto Rico.

In the US we operate a fully integrated manufacturing facility and foundry in New England and stainless steel backflow preventer manufacturing lines on the West Coast.
Our center in Germany is a leader in the European hydronic heating market, and our manufacturing facility in North Africa provides the ramp up and manufacturing support for electronic boards.
In Asia our manufacturing efforts are augmented with a focus on distribution out of the port city of Ningbo.
