The district contributes the employer portion; there is also a mandatory employee portion. Upon eligibility, which is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position, the employee is required to contribute 6% as their employee portion, via payroll deduction. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
North Clackamas School District (NCSD) encompasses more than 40 square miles and is located 12 miles from downtown Portland. Included are the incorporated cities of Milwaukie, Happy Valley, and Johnson City, parts of Damascus, and the neighborhoods of Oak Grove, Concord, Clackamas, Sunnyside, Mount Scott, Southgate, and Carver. NCSD is the 7th largest district in Oregon with approximately 17,000 students. NCSD also features a full K-12 Spanish Bilingual Immersion program and the state’s largest career & technical education program.
