Knob Hall is looking for new sales representatives! We are expanding and need your help!
Locations needed:
-Montgomery County/D.C.
-Eastern Shore
-Harford County/Baltimore County/Cecil County
-PG County/Anne Arundel County/Calvert County
Knob Hall Winery is a family-owned business located in Clear Spring, Maryland. We are an estate winery, producing high-quality wines from grapes harvested from our own vineyards, maintaining a tradition of sustainable agriculture.
In light of our current expansion, we are looking to hire 4 new salespeople full-time to represent Knob Hall across the state of Maryland. These sale people will be responsible for sales, distribution, promotional events, tastings, wine festivals, farmers markets and more!
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is outgoing, personable, and honest; is extremely organized; and has experience in sales. A background in wine knowledge is preferred. The candidate must be a self-starter with a flexible schedule and an ability to manage ones own self. Weekend and evening work is expected and dependable transportation is required.
What will I be doing?
In your role as a Knob Hall Sales Representative, you will be part of our success by:
• Representing Knob Hall in your assigned area as a family-owned business producing premium local wines.
• Working closely with retail stores, supermarkets, restaurants and country clubs so as to maximize wholesale and retail sales
• Identifying selling opportunities to grow Knob Hall brand in your area
• Developing new accounts and forming relationships with new businesses
• Growing base sales through maximizing distribution, brand integration into your respective area and through tactical promotional events
• Meeting monthly sales goals
• Prioritizing and determining optimal retail coverage patterns
• Developing trusted customer relationships by anticipating customer needs; promoting our product, delivering in a timely manner and sufficient follow up
• Managing your time efficiently so as to maximize your contribution to Knob Hall
• Helping out at wine festival across the state
• Identifying new opportunities such as events, festivals, and farmers markets to promote Knob Hall
• Participating in farmers markets in your area on weekdays and/or weekends
• Conducting wine tastings in stores that support our product
• Distributing to all accounts in your assigned area
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic wine knowledge
• Intermediate technology skills such as Microsoft Office Applications, Internet, Cellular use
• Self starter and highly motivated & independent individual
• Strong problem solving, influence and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated use of excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Extremely organized
• Experience in sales
• Own form of dependable transportation
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
• Advanced wine knowledge and experience
• Proficiency working in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
