Our feed truck drivers help feed the world! We serve the Mid-Atlantic region making local deliveries to poultry and swine farms. Our customers provide dairy, pork, poultry, and egg products to nearly 20% of the United States population.

We employ over 100 full time and part-time drivers. You won’t be alone on your shift. We have a team of driver supervisors that help support you throughout your shift.

A feed driver’s shift begins by loading the truck. Our feed drivers work with safe, modern, and clean equipment, make local deliveries, and are home every day. Drivers load 3 to 3.5 tons of bulk feed into each compartment of the trailer and deliver the feed to poultry and swine farms within a 1 to 250 mile radius of their home mill. At the farm, drivers back the truck up to the feed bin and unload feed using an overhead auger. Some trucks are also equipped to blow feed into the bin. Loads average in size from 19 to 30 tons depending on the type of feed and the type of truck used.

Our night driving team has a regular schedule beginning from 4 to 7 p.m. and working up to 12 hour shifts. Our drivers average 55 hours a week. Working schedules include weekend shifts and hours while accommodating flexible scheduling with advance notice. All drivers have a regular schedule, which allows them to be home daily.

We offer great training opportunities including our exclusive Leadership Development Program. This program runs for more than a year and includes leaders from throughout our company.

We celebrate our team! Every year, we honor one team member with a Core Values Award. We give out five awards - one for each core value! Nominations come from throughout the company.

Our Mission is Providing Quality Feed for Quality Food. To that end, we like to share the products of our customers with our team. Every year, our team receives a Wenger-fed turkey for Thanksgiving.

We support young farmers by buying animals at local fairs.

We support the communities that surround our facilities, and we're especially passionate about supporting our industry, agriculture! We have participated in Manufacturing Day and Ag Day at the Lancaster Barnstormers. This allows us to share our story with the community.

We have fun! We enjoy team outings like this one to the York Revolution baseball game.

Every day is different! To celebrate dairy month, our CEO scheduled an ice cream truck to make a stop at our office. Our Hoober Feeds division makes feed for dairy cows. It's a great pleasure to enjoy the fruits of our labor.
