This shuttle leaves the airport without leaving the ground. SuperShuttle International provides door-to-door airport shuttle services in some 50 US metropolitan areas, including Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, DC, with a fleet of about 1,200 blue-and-yellow vans. Customers are grouped by neighborhood through a central reservation system for the shared-ride service. The company also offers charter services for groups and provides executive sedan services through its ExecuCar subsidiary. Overall, SuperShuttle International carries about 8 million passengers a year. The company is a subsidiary of bus system operator  Veolia Transportation, which in turn is part of Paris-based Veolia Environnement.

Since its acquisition by Veolia in 2006, SuperShuttle International has grown into a leading national transportation system provider via a string of acquisitions. Such acquisitions have included Houston airport transportation operations at Hobby and Bush Intercontinental Airports; YC Holdings' Pittsburgh International Airport turf; and Express Shuttle in California. The company also picked up key companies in major New York markets, including Classic Shuttle's service from Long Island to all New York airports and Golden Touch Transportation, which added a business segment that transfers airline crews between New York's major airports.

SuperShuttle takes reservations 24 hours a day through call centers and its website. The company enjoys corporate partnerships with such companies as Expedia, American Express, Southwest, and JetBlue.
