About ADAGIO HEALTH
Our History
For 45 years, ADAGIO HEALTH has been providing health and wellness services and support throughout 23 counties of western Pennsylvania. Most of the 100,000 patients and clients receiving services at ADAGIO HEALTH are women who are uninsured and underinsured. ADAGIO HEALTH serves women and their families in predominantly rural communities in western Pennsylvania where access to healthcare services is scarce. For a majority of the women served, ADAGIO HEALTH is their ONLY healthcare provider. ADAGIO HEALTH’s services include family planning and reproductive healthcare, breast and cervical cancer screenings, access to nutritional food, healthcare referrals, education and breastfeeding support to new moms, prenatal care, and education on topics such as healthy relationships and substance abuse.
The services ADAGIO HEALTH provides are life-changing for the individuals served – supporting not only the individual, but also their families and communities. Studies show a woman with access to quality healthcare and affordable contraception is able, on her own timeline, to complete her education, get and keep a good job, financially support herself and her family and invest in her children’s future.
ADAGIO HEALTH serves a population of individuals with diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Members of the Amish community are served in Indiana; students from universities are served in Indiana, Clarion and Edinboro. In Uniontown, we do our best to serve a community in which so many people have numerous unmet needs due to lack of available services. In Erie, we give Somali women a safe and welcoming place to receive care. Because of ADAGIO HEALTH, these women—all with different needs, situations and plans for their futures—have access to healthcare.
ADAGIO HEALTH is able to provide these services through funding from the State and Federal government, local foundation partners, and through partnerships with a variety of community partners and other funders, such as Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh. ADAGIO HEALTH currently owns and operates eight (8) medical offices and provides Title X, XX and V funding to 35 sub- recipients. In addition to medical offices, ADAGIO HEALTH is the Women, Infant & Children’s Food and Nutrition Service (WIC) service provider in five counties including Beaver, Butler, Indiana, Lawrence and Westmoreland.
ADAGIO HEALTH’s education department provides health education ranging from health and sexual education to tobacco cessation, good decision- making, and life skills.
Our Mission
ADAGIO HEALTH provides health and wellness services to all women and their families with a focus on those in need.
Our Vision

Our Future
As Adagio moves towards 50 years of service to women and their families in Western Pennsylvania, we plan to explore, expand and nurture partnerships, affiliations and alliances that will allow ADAGIO HEALTH to expand its continuum of services, strengthen service delivery, increase efficiencies and patient volume.
We hope to implement new methods of service delivery for improving population health that meet the needs of the communities we serve and ensure financial sustainability of ADAGIO HEALTH.
We strive to engage in continuous quality improvement for clinical care and customer service to improve customer experience and value.
We pledge to continue to be the safety net that provides health and wellness services to women in need in Western Pennsylvania.
