In 1972, Jim Haas founded Summit Polymers with a handful of people and four machines in his garage. Most of the initial work was custom overflow from more established shops and included automotive parts, toys, lawn equipment and RV parts – primarily “shoot and ship” products.
In 1974, Summit relocated from Jim’s garage to 6700 Sprinkle Road. The company continued to grow organically and by 1984, leadership decided to concentrate chiefly on automotive business. Today, Summit Polymers is an award-winning global automotive supplier with over 3,000 employees and 15 locations worldwide.
