Gertrude Hawk Chocolates

Gertrude Hawk began making chocolates in her kitchen in 1936.
Her family, like many others during the Great Depression, was struggling to make ends meet. Gertrude’s friends, family, and neighbors were the company’s first employees: helping her craft, package, and sell her handmade chocolate treats. Throughout the four generations of our company’s history, we’ve been helped and guided by the finest group of people imaginable—our co-workers. Candy makers, packers, store managers, molders, warehouse people, cashiers, and on and on. We rely on the hard work and expertise of our co-workers to craft a delicious product we make and sell with pride.
