In the Fall of 2021, Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment will celebrate its 40th Anniversary as one of the oldest family-run, fine dining steakhouse brands in the country. Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment (JRCE) began operations in 1981 when Jeff Ruby opened his first upscale steakhouse, The Precinct. Although the economic circumstances were less than favorable at the time as the country was mired in one of the most challenging recessions in history, Ruby perservered and worked to create an upscale restaurant and total culinary experience unlike any other. He was, and still is, a category disruptor, an innovator, and an industry visionary.


Today, The Precinct is Cincinnati’s longest continually-running fine dining restaurant and the brand Mr. Ruby created 4 decades ago has grown to include 7 luxury steakhouses across 3 states that are widely considered to be among the very best in the country. JRCE has received critical acclaim from many of the nation’s top travel, hospitality, and restaurant publications including Travel & Leisure’s Best American Steakhouse, USA Today/Gayot’s Best American Steakhouse, FoodNetwork’s Top 50 Steakhouses in America, Wine Spectator’s Level 2 Best of Award of Excellence and many others.

JRCE is now led by the next generation of Ruby family members. It is home to 650 employees including more than 35 at the Home Office. Britney Ruby Miller leads the company as CEO and brothers Brandon and Dillon serve in Executive Corporate roles. Growing up and learning the intricacies of the business from their father uniquely qualifies them to propel the organization for the next 4 decades. Their work demonstrates a total commitment to the family’s original vision as well as their desire to amplify it even further.
