Acquire, merge, or get out of the way: Starting with one dealership, Warren Equipment has grown to eight companies. Operations serve petroleum, construction, mining, commercial trucking, and agriculture businesses in the US and beyond. Its Compressor Systems produces oil and gas compressors, and Ignitions Systems & Controls, industrial controls. Industrial engines are built by North American Power Systems; water and oil pumps by Pump Systems International; engines and gen sets by Perkins South Plains. Warren's Rotary Compressor Systems engineers rotary screw compressors for energy producers. Subsidiary Warren CAT is a top Caterpillar dealer in North America. The Warren family owns most of Warren Equipment.

Hit by the economic downturn, the equipment company is targeting new markets for its products and services. Looking beyond the oil patch, in 2010 Warren launched SITECH Texoma, a dealership offering Trimble and Caterpillar machine control systems to heavy and highway construction contractors in west Texas and Oklahoma.
