Consulting and Training
In 1999, ES&H formed its second business unit, the ES&H Consulting and Training Group. In the past, the OSRO side and the management side of an oil spill or incident were traditionally handled by two different organizations. ES&H was the first company to bring both under one roof, allowing the company to better ensure quality control and cost savings for customers. The Consulting and Training Group also allowed ES&H to help companies be more proactive, putting in place the proper manuals, training, and drills to prevent incidents before they happen.
Transportation & Disposal
ES&H purchased its first vacuum trucks, roll-off boxes, and bobtail trucks in 1998, after years of using third-party contractors for transportation and disposal. Maritime companies were soon requesting use of this fleet for routine vessel cleaning projects, and this service grew to meet demand, organizing in 2000 as a distinct business unit. In 2004, the company added a petroleum wastewater treatment facility to store and treat fuel.
Industrial Group
By 2005, ES&H's vessel cleaning services were in such high demand that the company decided to add another business unit, ES&H Industrial Group, to compete for and service larger projects such as tank cleaning, remediation, asbestos abatement, and mold management. With this group, ES&H broadened its services to include industrial cleaning, helping establish the company as more than just an environmental services firm. As ES&H’s history continues, the company continues to look for ways to add to and diversify the services it offers its customers.
