At Karolinska Institutet, a number of world changing discoveries have been made. Out of the eight Swedes who have received the Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine, five are from KI. We represent a large part of the medical research in Sweden and have the largest range of medical education in the country.

Promoting a lifelong perspective on the health of employees and students is important. Therefore, everyone at KI is offered a variety of free health benefits. We have a newly built training facilities with ball plane, access to tennis courts and bookable training classes. Our own healthcare team also works actively to strengthen individuals' knowledge in terms of health. Tailored initiatives and workshops are offered and as an employee you are entitled to wellness hours and FYSS coaching.
The work environment work is both strategic and operational. Each year, we distribute a generous work environment & health prize to an employee or a group which has particularly contributed to KI's development in the area.

In Sweden, our campuses are located in Solna and Flemingsberg. Several institutions are also located in the region's hospitals, such as Karolinska University Hospital in Solna and Huddinge, Danderyd's Hospital and Södersjukhuset.
