About Star Valley Health
Star Valley Health is the primary provider of healthcare in the area. Any other healthcare facilities are over an hour's drive from the Star Valley community. Star Valley Health is a Level 4 Trauma Center and the Emergency Room serves not only residents of the area, but also the many travelers who come through the valley via Highway 89 enroute to Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. Star Valley Health has transfer agreements with Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho, and Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, Utah. Daniel Ordyna is the current CEO of Star Valley Health.

Star Valley Health provides patient services through our various outpatient clinics. These clinics include:

Our clinics are staffed with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistants, and Admissions Clerks. We provide training for Admissions Clerks and certifications for Medical Assistants. In addition to basic Medical Assistant duties, some Medical Assistants learn how to scribe for the providers.

Care Center
At the Star Valley Care Center, helping people thrive in the twilight of their lives and live meaningful, purpose-filled lives is our passion and singular focus. We are committed to creating a fulfilling future for the people we serve by welcoming them into our family and ensuring they maintain the highest optimal level of functioning. Our facility is small (24 beds), allowing us to offer highly personalized care. We strive to maintain high staffing levels to allow our CNA’s to provide the best care possible.

Our comprehensive care planning team has vast knowledge and training in the treatment of seniors and includes:

• Social worker
• Activities director
• Physicians
• Care center administrators

We regularly offer CNA classes for people interested in working as a Certified Nursing Aide.
Surgical Services
Star Valley Health is equipped with state-of-the-art, leading-edge technology and is staffed to perform minimally invasive, life-saving procedures. Our highly trained surgeons perform approximately 4,000 surgeries each year, and more than one-third of these are performed as laparoscopic or robotic procedures. Star Valley Health provides advanced surgical procedures to inpatients and outpatients on an elective, urgent, and emergency basis.

Our surgical facilities feature:
• Seven private, post-operative rooms
• Three surgery suites equipped with the latest technology
• Two specialized endoscopy rooms
• Fully-equipped post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)

Med/Surg
Our state-of-the-art inpatient Med/Surg unit is the center of our hospital. We are a 22-bed facility that includes 2 Labor & Delivery rooms and 2 step-down ICU rooms. We have dedicated L&D staff that complement our skilled Med/Surg staff. Our Family Medicine trained Hospitalist is on-site during the day and on-call at night, while our Emergency Room physicians are on-site 24/7. Patient ratios at our hospital are typically 2-4 patients per nurse. The Med/Surg staff consists of RNs, CNAs, Hospitalist, Utilization Review, and Discharge Planner/Social Worker. Services provided in this unit include:
