My name is Michael Banis and I am the Office Manager here at OTR. Here at Oregon Trail Recovery we are a 6 month Intensive outpatient program and work with individuals who have completed Inpatient Treatment/ or detoxed and are looking to transition back in to everyday life. We ask for a 3 month verbal commitment, we can be a 3, 6, or nine month stay. We do Partial Hospitalization (day treatment), Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient group therapy, individual psychotherapy and we are 12 Step based (we offer AA and NA meetings). We work with individuals to help them break the hold addiction and grow as an individual. We are helping them become well rounded people in recovery. The program consist of 20 hours of group therapy (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours at night) a week until the client starts working, going to school or doing service in the community. Once they acquire 1 of the 3, the client is released from morning group and moves to IOP and does 10 hours of group therapy a week, the client will continue with 1 on 1 therapy and work a 12 step program for their 1st 3 months. From 4-6 the client groups 3 times a week and 7-9 they group 1 time a week. OTR will assist the clients to save their pay checks and in our client fund accounts with Chase Bank. They are allowed an allowance of 20 dollars at a time and have access to buy higher priced items with authorization of the live in house manager (Ex: we give you $40. To buy new shoes when you come back you show your house manager your shoes change and receipt. If you remain accountable eventually clients take over partial accounts then all of their account). Clients live in the transitional homes owned by the Oregon Trail Recovery program and all houses are managed by a live in house manager who is available 24/7. Clients food is provided, the clients receive 20 Dollars a week on a food card for their discretion (toiletries and such). High use items such as laundry amenities, cleaning supplies, Bus passes for public transport, gym memberships, and all adventures and equipment for the adventure are included. Clients have the ability to come to Oregon Trail Recovery and get an advantage such as those above that many times are not offered with typical after care programs. We work with most major medical insurance companies (PPO) and private pay. Clients are responsible for their own co pays, doctor visits and any medical, dental or vision visits. We work with a Medical director on staff 2x a week to help get non-narcotic medications as we are A ZERO TOLERANCE program. Medications are monitored but not distributed by the management staff. Oregon Trail Recovery does an adventure piece to the program and will take clients out snowboarding, skiing, deep sea fishing, paint balling, camping, fishing, hiking etc. with our personal Adventure Coordinator. Clients choose as a group which adventures would be of most interest to the group. All clients have roommates, Single bedrooms for those further along in the program based off availability
