Your journey begins with a scenic ride from Downtown Gatlinburg to the summit of Anakeesta on the Chondola’s open-air 4-person chair or enclosed 6-person gondola cabin. From there, guests can enjoy the Treetop Skybridge on 16 hanging bridges more than 50 feet in the air, soar through the trees on Gatlinburg’s fastest dual-racing zip lines with heart-pounding rappel drops, ride the Rail Runner, the first single-rail gravity-fed mountain coaster in the United States! Climb through the Treehouse Village Adventure with the kids then discover treasures while mining for gems. Ready for a more relaxed pace? Stroll through the Memorial Forest Walk then explore Anakeesta’s beautifully landscaped Vista Gardens with interpretive signs or find a spot by the firepit and enjoy the panoramic views of Mt. LeConte. Ready to eat? Our StoryIn 2014, the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity of women sold more than 55 pristine acres of mountain forested land to Bob and Karen Bentz and their family. With a vision towards environmental stewardship, the Bentz family developed a family-oriented mountaintop attraction in the heart of the Smokies in downtown Gatlinburg.
Today, Anakeesta guests experience the magic in the mountains through the authenticity, heritage and natural beauty of this award-winning park while creating family memories that will last a lifetime.
In September of 2018, just one year after opening, Anakeesta was awarded the Best Attraction of the Year by the Tennessee Hospitality and Tourism Association. With an eye towards the future, the owners of Anakeesta continue making plans for added expansion and growth that will delight guests for years to come
