About Squeegee Pros Window Cleaning
We have been in business since 1996. We provide window cleaning, pressure washing, and gutter cleaning services. We service both commercial and residential locations.
Words from our owner:
We maintain a company culture that cares, rewards, and goes the extra mile for those that work here and just do their job. Again, it is the whiners and complainers who don’t get their way, they demand this, demand that, they no call, or no show and still think it is business / job as usual. That’s not how it works here. Here is what happens: we have an exit interview, then they are escorted off my “bus”. We just don’t tolerate it. And what do “they” do because their way was not granted? They unfortunately lie and let the negative reviews fly. What I can tell you, is I would not have people on staff “hanging around” for 16 years, 14 years, 13 years, 10 years, 9 years, and many 2, 3 and 4 years if my leadership team and culture was not doing something right.
In all my life, I’ve had 5 jobs. One theory that I’ve always lived by, “if you think the grass is greener on the other side…. think again.” If you want green grass, get some fertilizer and do one thing: be the best that you can be. Be honest and forthcoming if something isn’t right, communicate your concern, be fair, and just try. People notice when you try.
I know of every person’s story on here who left a less than stellar review. Were they completely honest in the review? No. Did they communicate their concern with management? No. Did they “try” to be the best they could be? No. Did they abide by written company policy and job scope? No. Were they looking for some kind of hand-out in one form or another? Unfortunately, Yes.
It is absolutely impossible to make everyone happy – customer, employee, or technician, but with 7,500 customers, #1 Nationwide in Angie’s List Super Service Awards in various divisions, more 5 Star google reviews than our competitors and 95% of our customers calling us back again and again, well we have a pretty good track record that I’m proud of. And the “A” players that make up the Squeegee Pros’ Team? Thank you and hats off to you because it is you that makes all of this possible – because we as a team make it possible for all of us to have steady paychecks and provide for our families. Some however, just don’t belong on our team.
If you are considering working for Squeegee Pros, I would advise you to bring your “A” game, be honest, and just try and we will be there for you every step of the way.
If anyone reading this would like to hear the other side of the story, just reach out to us by calling (704) 799-0313 and we would be glad to give you all of the details.
The 99% of our company that does not complain on social platforms, are going to be tough competition for the many awards and prizes that we are always having contests for. The one promise that I will guarantee you, “Quality people are very valuable to us and a must for our customers. If you bring that strong desire to succeed and to be the best, (while not looking for the hand-out) you will work here forever and be monetarily and consciously rewarded.”

Advice to Complainers
You can be a complainer or you can be an achiever, but you can’t be both.
Hello, my name is Jim DuBois. I am the Owner/CEO of Squeegee Pros Window Cleaning and all the Squeegee Pros related divisions.
I started this company, 24 years ago, out of a spare bedroom in Terrell, N.C. and thru hard work and determination, have grown it to be in the top 10% of all residential/storefront operations in the country. Did I do it alone? No. My spectacular team did.
I certainly do appreciate all the online reviews on Indeed about my company. I know that sometimes it is impossible to sit down with me to discuss concerns that some of my past and present team members may have about this company, good or not so good.
In this age of Internet and Social Media, this may be the most well-suited platform to address both. The first thing that is always important to remember is that this is a business, and just like any other home services business, we perform work on people’s homes (or businesses) and they pay us for it.
We in turn pay our employees, vendors, rent, suppliers, vehicle repair, equipment payments, fuel, insurance, etc., etc., etc.! And at the end of the month, if we do everything right, we often times show a profit and that’s how I get paid.
We have 40 some people that make up my staff and we ask all of them to share with our customers all of the services that we have available to serve them. We offer window cleaning, pressure washing, home and building washing, gutter cleaning, gutter guard installation, chandelier cleaning, holiday lighting, Christmas lighting, screen cleaning, screen repair, and solar panel cleaning to residential, storefronts, apartments, townhomes, condos, municipals, schools, office parks, shopping centers, chain stores, new construction, multi-story, and high-rise buildings.
Now while some might consider this to be “sales”, we view it as educating our customers to the award-winning home and commercial services we offer. Although some of the complaints on this platform have been - in so many words, the need for ‘more sales’, ‘higher numbers’, ‘money’, we are not unlike any other service or product company. We all survive off our ability to engage our customers and prospects into trying our services. Why? This is how we survive and get paid.
And the beauty of this philosophy is that there are no earning ceilings at Squeegee Pros. By just mentioning these services, my staff is paid additional commissions on everything the customer decides to try.
As far as the hours go, we are always going to be there for our customers, so if it means giving a little extra effort or a lot, we will always oblige as this is company policy. This is not 8am to 5pm unless working in the office. And we are completely transparent about this during our job interviews.
As far as the upper echelon of my company I am not related to any managers in the company. I recently promoted my Vice-President to President. She is not related to me and has worked hard for Squeegee Pros for 13 years. She started at the bottom and has done every minuscule job you can imagine and saw growth opportunities in the company’s pathways to advancement. She has always been fair and honest, has always been loyal to me, the company, its employees, and our customers. She does bleed ‘blue and gold’ and after 13 years it has paid off for her in a big way as she carries the torch.
You know, one thing I have learned in my 56 years of life, there are some people who will just not allow themselves to ever become successful. They will whine, complain, blame others, and will never take responsibility when they know they should. And if things don’t go their way, look out! The negative reviews FLY! For some reason, life is always unfair to them yet they always look for the handout. One thing I can tell you, there is another side to the story for every single one of the less than stellar reviews. These people should step up and take some responsibility versus hiding behind their words.
For Example: Pay.
I designed a performance pay plan and I will tell you upfront, that this separates the men from the boys and the women from the girls. If you are not willing to perform, your pay will suffer. If you are average and come here to work, you will do just fine, and if you bring your “A” game here (as we discuss in every interview) you will surpass any other equal job position from any other similar company, hands down period. The whiners on this platform – well, you know who you are. We have “A” players on residential and commercial or sales that are earning 4-figures per week, week after week after week. Why? How? Performance pay, tips, incentives, bonuses, and spiff programs. They do bring their A-game, they do their job and they perform, and as a by-product, are well paid. If you are looking for the hand-out, looking for easy street, the do nothing for something like some of those on here are, please don’t waste our or another company’s precious time.
