About Tri-County Health Care

Our goal at Tri-County Health Care is to deliver personalized health care in the communities we serve. We have over 450 devoted employees backing that mission, standing together and striving to build lasting relationships with the people we care for - our patients, communities and one another.

With 6 clinics, 1 hospital, 1 ReadyCare and 2 rehabilitation locations, our team is proud to provide a wide range of services to our communities in the counties of Wadena, Todd and Otter Tail.

Some big changes coming our way!

For nearly a century, our health care system has experienced many changes from our humble beginnings as the Wesley Hospital in 1925, to the change to Tri-County Hospital in 1974, to Tri-County Health Care. Coming soon, our name and primary care building in Wadena will soon be changing, but our commitment will not. Tri-County Health Care is our legacy, and as we continue to grow, we decided it was a good time to reflect on the new values we have adopted in recent years. Changing doesn't mean forgetting past accomplishments but instead shows a strive for excellence that we will carry into our new rural health care center of the future. Beginning in 2023, Tri-County Health Care will have a new site and be renamed to Astera Health, a name chosen to reflect this next evolution as your trusted partner for life.
