Our high standards are consistently recognized. Mayo has a 5-star overall rating from U.S. News, Medicare.com and UCompare HealthCare. We have received seven Quality Awards from the Vermont Agency of Human Services, honoring nursing homes that meet the highest standard of care.
In 2013, the National Research Corporation gave Mayo its “Excellence in Action” Award, for achieving the highest rating of resident satisfaction. Mayo also received the 2012 Bronze Quality Award from the American Health Care Association. The Vermont Healthcare Association has honored 28 of our employees for exceptional service.

We make sure staff has frequent chances to huddle and work together. For example, we hold weekly clinical care meetings, where everyone in a clinical section comes together to talk about each resident. That helps meet all our residents’ needs, and to make sure everyone is on the same page. We do teamwork for real.

Benefit time (vacation, holiday and personal);

Tuition reimbursement, and;

Benefit time (vacation, holiday and personal) for full-time employees accumulates to 12 days for the first year of employment, up to 24 days per year for the fourth and succeeding years with us. Part-time employees accrue benefit time on a pro-rated basis. New Year’s, Memorial, Independence, Labor, Thanksgiving and Christmas days are paid double-time. Group health, dental, life and vision insurance are available to employees who work at least 30 hours per week. Mayo offers a free Employee Assistance Program.
