About Fidelity Bank
Fidelity Financial is the holding company for Fidelity Bank, which operates some 20 branches in Derby and Wichita, Kansas, and its Oklahoma Fidelity Bank division with five locations in and around Oklahoma City. Several branches are located inside Wal-Mart stores and operate seven days a week. Fidelity Bank offers traditional services, including checking, savings, and money market accounts, credit cards, and IRAs. It concentrates on real estate lending, including residential and commercial mortgages and construction and land development loans. The bank originates business and consumer loans as well. It also offers private banking services.
Through an agreement with third-party provider LPL Financial, Fidelity Bank offers discount brokerage, annuities, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other investment products and services to its personal and business banking customers. Bank subsidiary Fidelity Insurance Agency sells life, home, auto, and disability coverage.
The company traces its roots to 1905, when (as The Fidelity Investment Company) it was established as a mortgage lender. The Bastian family, which gained control of the predecessor of Fidelity Bank in 1947, continues to run the company.
