“I came into my co-op with zero experience in the sawmilling industry and walked away with a great understanding of how Sawmills operate. I enjoyed getting to learn from operators/supervisors with years of experience while taking the Lumber fundamentals course. I’m thankful for the experience and glad that I was able to turn my experience into a full time career. I would highly suggest this experience to anyone no matter your experience. I believe it’s a great way to get your foot in the door in the wood processing industry.”

“Working as a co-op student with Interfor has given me so many different opportunities to explore within forestry. I’ve made so many connections, especially with other women at Interfor and contractors we’ve worked with who have encouraged me to pursue a career in forestry. My co-op experience has helped me discover where I see my future in the forest industry.”
