Its largest division, the Industrial segment, is made up of the Motion Systems, Filtration, Fluid Connectors, Instrumentation, and Engineered Material groups. Sales of Industrial products in North American and international markets are made primarily to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and their replacement markets in various sectors within the manufacturing, processing, and transportation industries. They include agriculture, alternative energy, chemical processing, construction machinery, factory automation, food production, life sciences, material handling, paper, robotics, and water, among many others. Parker also targets OEMs and replacement markets in air conditioning, appliances, industrial and commercial refrigeration, industrial machinery, oil and gas, supermarkets, and transportation.
Sales of Aerospace segment products are sold mainly to commercial and military customers in the OEM and maintenance, repair, and overhaul end user markets. They are used in aircraft, engines, missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, and in power generation applications.

Collaboration has been key to overcoming complex challenges during throughout the pandemic, and when manufacturers began planning for the development and mass production of COVID-19 vaccines, they knew they could count on Parker for support.
A historic breakthrough. An unprecedented technological leap, with the potential to save countless lives. The race to develop, produce and distribute COVID-19 vaccines represents an unparalleled global effort, requiring the collaboration of top experts from government and private industry.
While Parker Hannifin has always supported the manufacture of flu vaccines and clinical drugs, building the high-capacity filtration and dispense systems necessary to rapidly scale COVID-19 vaccination efforts was anything but business as usual.
"Part of our Filtration Group's charter is to purify and protect," explains Allison Finch, technical services support engineer for Parker's Bioscience and Water Filtration Division. "So we've seen a vast increase in the demand for our filtration and dispense systems and we've been able to fine-tune our designs to support evolving customer needs and different applications."
That's exactly the type of growth and expansion that the U.S. Department of Defense envisioned when the White House announced Operation Warp Speed on May 15, 2020. The target was to accelerate development, production and distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine and deliver 300 million doses by January 2021.

Parker team members in Queretaro, Mexico are raising seedlings of native tree species that are in danger of extinction, and their goal is to raise 10,000 trees to be transplanted to a local nature preserve over the course of the next decade.
