Paramount Farms

Paramount Farms earns more than peanuts in the market -- it's the world's largest grower and processor of almonds and pistachios in the world. Paramount's nuts are sold to consumers under the Sunkist brand name (licensed from Sunkist Growers), as well as its own Everybody's Nuts brand. The company also offers private-label products and services and sells nut products to food manufacturers and foodservice customers across the US and worldwide. Paramount offers in-shell and shelled pistachios, along with various almond products, including whole, sliced, slivered, or diced, all of which are supplied in raw, roasted, blanched, and flavored forms. Paramount is owned by Roll International.

The company's processing and storage facilities are located on more than 200 acres in California's San Joaquin Valley. Its nuts are grown on some 40,000 acres of orchards in the valley. A truly big operation, Paramount processes about 60,000 pounds of almonds an hour. Using a system developed and installed by SatCon Technology, Paramount operates the largest privately-owned solar farm in the US. The 1.1-megawatt operation generates approximately 15% of Paramount's electricity needs.

In addition to North America, Paramount's products are available in Europe, China, Japan, India, Russia, and North Korea.
