About Bella Vista Health Center
We at Bella Vista are dedicated to doing everything possible to keep COVID-19 out of our building and keep you safe. We go above and beyond State and Federal guidelines:
All staff members are required to have their temperature taken upon arrival and at the end of their shift and to complete a questionnaire regarding contact with anyone wih COVID-19
Any staff with exposure to someone with COVID will be required to stay home for 14 days and will need to have 2 negative COVID test prior to returning to work
All staff are required to wear protective masks and face shields
Disinfecting (shoe) mats are at the building entrance
Visitors are not permitted to enter the building (visiting may take place at the front door)
All deliveries are left at the front door and wiped down by staff prior to being brought inside
Doorknobs, handrails, and countertops are wiped down four times a day - front door hourly
All staff have been in-serviced regarding signs and symptoms of COVID-19, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (masks, shields, etc.)
Signage throughout the building reminding everyone to cover a cough, observe proper handwashing
Residents are encouraged to stay in their rooms and are required to wear face masks when outside their room
Residents temperatures are taken 3 times per day to monitor for symptoms
Residents rooms are completely sanitized on a weekly basis and whenever there is a room change using a state of the art disinfectant mist that blankets all surfaces (Clorox 360 machine)
Windows are opened throughout the facility to promote cross ventilation of fresh air
Air system filters a changed monthly
UV sanitizers are available to disinfect cell phones and other small objects
All incoming residents are required to have had 1 - 2 negative COVID tests and recent labs are reviewed. If lab results are questionable another COVID test is required prior to admission.
All incoming residents are placed in our designated observation unit for 7 - 14 days
If any resident tests positive for COVID they will be sent to the hospital immediately and not accepted back to the facility
A full contingency plan is in place in the event of COVID becoming active within the building to convert our observation unit to an isolation unit
