I began working at Midwest Manufacturing as a part-time Team Member while attending school at UW-Stout. I needed an internship in order to complete the Manufacturing Engineering program and learned that I was able to transition directly into a Management Internship position in the Concrete plant. The internship program was structured, but also gave me the freedom to use my education and experience in my own ways. I used my engineering background to make improvements while also learning how to be a manager at the same time. After completing the internship, I knew I wanted to continue my career with Midwest Manufacturing.
I completed my internship and was hired on full-time as a Manager Trainee post-graduation. By utilizing my degree and experience, I was then able to promote into the Maintenance Manager position to be where I am today. When I started as an 18-year-old I was just looking for extra money for college. I soon realized all of the great career opportunities Midwest Manufacturing had to offer. After graduating, I moved into an Assistant Department Manger position at the Eau Claire DC. I worked in several areas of the DC before taking an opportunity to be an AGM at Midwest Manufacturing in the Concrete Division. I then moved into a General Manager role overseeing the Board Plants, Belgrade Fixtures, and Sign Shop.
Diversity of Manufacturing Plants and Positions AvailableI love the opportunities available to rapidly move up with Midwest Manufacturing. It is great to see all of the changes made to help our plants run more efficiently within my short time here. I enjoy the opportunities to visit other plants within the company. The open-door policy to upper management helps to quickly arrive to efficient solutions.
Midwest Manufacturing first caught my eye due to the diversity of manufacturing plants and positions available. As a company, this definitely helps us reach more customers throughout the world. I enjoy working with Menards stores to help train our Team to be more knowledgeable in selling our products.
