About Illingworth Research Group
Illingworth offers a unique combination of patient-centric services to facilitate worldwide participation in clinical trials. Patient centricity is a vital part of our mission and has been so for over 20 years. We offer a unique combination of services to facilitate worldwide clinical trial participation for all. Illingworth’s bespoke solutions include: Mobile Research Nursing, Patient Concierge and Medical Photography.
Mobile Research Nursing focuses on taking the clinical trial visits to the patient in their home, school or workplace. This approach minimises the number of site visits for the patient and leads to a more positive clinical trial experience.
Patient concierge supports patients in getting to site visits when they are required to do so, this may include travel bookings and reimbursements. Facilitated by our mobile research nurses, it offers an easy way for patients to attend site when required, such as an MRI scan.
Our Medical Photography is an alternative approach which uses imagery or video footage to monitor a clinical endpoint. Imagery can be used in a range of applications concentrated within but not exclusive to dermatological trials.
Illingworth also has an operational team with many years’ experience in all trial phases and across many different therapeutic areas. Our focus is creating clinical trials which are designed to support the patient and maximise recruitment and retention rates.

We are pleased to announce that in September 2020 the UK head office relocated to a modern new premises on Tytherington Business Park. Giving much more space, meeting rooms, gym and even chill out area with complete pool table.
Illingworth is also hopeful to reach agreements on new premises in the US and Australia by the end of 2020.

The puppy is currently training to become an accredited Medical Alert Assistance Dog. The Medical Detection Dogs charity conduct ground-breaking research into the potential of dogs to assist clinicians in the early detection and diagnosis of various diseases. Bear will be joining a team of 84 other accredited Medical Alert Assistance Dogs across the UK.
