About US
We are Focused on a Clean Energy Future:

Our vision is to become the cleanest natural gas utility in North America. Natural gas has played a role in improving air quality, particularly in electric generation as natural gas replaced coal. As the state works to achieve its climate change goals, natural gas along with renewable natural gas and hydrogen will serve as energy sources to help California advance its clean energy agenda.

As the nation’s largest natural gas distribution utility, safely serving more than 21 million consumers through nearly 5.9 million meters in more than 500 communities, SoCalGas is uniquely positioned to help drive California’s emerging energy economy.

Whether it's pioneering new ways to help customers put this clean, low-cost energy source to good use in transportation, construction and agriculture; converting Los Angeles’ rails and ports; decarbonizing the pipeline; or working to advance sound and responsible energy policy on behalf of its customers, SoCalGas is bringing forward game-changing innovations that will improve Southern California’s air quality, economy and way of life.

Our leadership stems from a true desire to serve: We work tirelessly to challenge conventional thinking, evolve our business and stay ahead of customers’ changing needs. Years of industry-leading customer satisfaction is testament to that. SoCalGas has and will continue to invest in Southern California
