About Argos USA
Argos is one of the largest cement and ready-mix producers in the United States and a global sustainability leader in the heavy construction materials industry. The company has built a vertically integrated network in the US that expands across the East and Gulf Coast regions.

Since 2005, when it began operations in the United States, the company has built a successful track record of offering innovative products, unparalleled expertise, and exceptional customer service that has made the company an integral partner to its customers. Through a combination of expertise and dedication, Argos has participated in some of the most significant and well-recognized projects in its areas of operations and is a respected leader in the production of specialty construction industry materials like color masonry cement, mortars, and specialty concrete mixes.

Today, the company value chain includes a network of over two thousand dedicated employees, four cement plants, two grinding mills, eight ports, ten inland terminals, over 140 ready mix plants, and a diverse portfolio of cement and concrete based products.

Argos has a strong commitment to sustainability, which combines its core identity of research and development with proprietary technology, aiming to find better solutions to tomorrow’s challenges. The company is incredibly proud of its safety advocacy, environmental stewardship, and continued efforts to build a better future for people and places.
We Are More Than Concrete & Cement
Argos strives to be a workplace where a consistent leadership style is displayed, personal and professional growth are encouraged, work-life balance is supported, teamwork and cooperation among coworkers is common, and results are achieved in a proper manner.
What We Do
At Argos, we lay the foundation for sustainable development and constantly innovate in order to look to the future with hope. We take on big challenges that enable us to forge new paths, build realities and transcend boundaries by taking concrete and confident steps.

Cement

The most used construction material in the world, cement is a binding material with adherent and resistant properties that make it ideal for many types of construction.

Ready Mix Concrete

A mixture of cement, aggregates (e.g. sand, gravel), and water, when hardened, concrete has the capacity to withstand large compression forces.

Aggregates

Concrete aggregates are products obtained by grinding different types of rock, gravel and sand. Together with water and cement, they make up the trio of ingredients necessary to produce concrete.
Argos' Great People
Being an employee of Argos means shining our Green Light on everything we do. It is believing that we can create a better future by helping build sustainable cities for the next generations. We are convinced that great companies are made up of great People.
Argos USA President visits Roberta, AL Cement Plant
Bill Wagner, our new President of the USA Region, recently visited our Roberta Cement Plant to meet the employees and tour the plant. More importantly, Bill was able to listen to and learn from Tony Perry, Roberta Plant Manager, and his team about their operations, their accomplishments and successes, and get their thoughts on how we can improve and become more efficient.
Cementos Argos Board of Directors Visit
The Cementos Argos board of directors visited Atlanta, Georgia, this past week for their board meeting and were able to meet with the U.S. executive team to learn more about our U.S. operations. While in Atlanta, the board of directors were able to tour Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which is home to the Atlanta Falcons NFL team and the Atlanta United FC MLS team.

Known for its multi-purpose retractable roof and the record-breaking size of its 360-degree halo board, this 2 million square-foot stadium is positioned in the heart of Atlanta, and is central to the sports fan experience in this growing city.

Argos poured 200,000 cubic yards of concrete for this iconic stadium, which wrapped up in 2016 in time for the 2017 season. In addition, the concrete we poured for this project was created entirely with Argos cement. This iconic stadium is a great example of how Argos was able to meet the needs of its customer by leveraging its vertical integration and streamlining operations to provide efficient and timely service, while also helping to realize the vision of this great stadium and its importance to the surrounding community.
Travis Reed Participates in Earth Day Event
Travis Reed, Safety, Environmental and Public Affairs Manager for our Roberta Cement Plant, recently participated in the Calera Intermediate School Earth Day event. Travis served as a guest judge for the students' Earth Day Presentations, where students had to put their creativity skills to the test by upcycling "junk" into useful items.

As opposed to traditional recycling, which reduces the amount of waste going to landfill by taking the waste items and putting them back in the chain to their raw state so they can be used again, upcycling, through the addition of design, takes waste items forwards in the chain to become more beautiful, more valuable and hopefully more desirable for years to come.
Argos Employees Give Back to the Community
Our Corporate Volunteering Program continues to roll out across the U.S. with employees in Atlanta taking part. Employees from the Alpharetta Office, as well as a couple from the Atlanta Cement Plant, volunteered to help an in-home child care center with some much needed repairs. Working with Atlanta-based non-profit Quality Care for Children, this child care center is a part of the Early Head Start Program, which seeks to ensure that Georgia's infants and young children are nurtured, educated and reach their full potential.
