Cement
The most used construction material in the world, cement is a binding material with adherent and resistant properties that make it ideal for many types of construction.
Ready Mix Concrete
A mixture of cement, aggregates (e.g. sand, gravel), and water, when hardened, concrete has the capacity to withstand large compression forces.
Aggregates
Concrete aggregates are products obtained by grinding different types of rock, gravel and sand. Together with water and cement, they make up the trio of ingredients necessary to produce concrete.

Cementos Argos Board of Directors VisitThe Cementos Argos board of directors visited Atlanta, Georgia, this past week for their board meeting and were able to meet with the U.S. executive team to learn more about our U.S. operations. Known for its multi-purpose retractable roof and the record-breaking size of its 360-degree halo board, this 2 million square-foot stadium is positioned in the heart of Atlanta, and is central to the sports fan experience in this growing city.
Argos poured 200,000 cubic yards of concrete for this iconic stadium, which wrapped up in 2016 in time for the 2017 season. In addition, the concrete we poured for this project was created entirely with Argos cement. This iconic stadium is a great example of how Argos was able to meet the needs of its customer by leveraging its vertical integration and streamlining operations to provide efficient and timely service, while also helping to realize the vision of this great stadium and its importance to the surrounding community.

As opposed to traditional recycling, which reduces the amount of waste going to landfill by taking the waste items and putting them back in the chain to their raw state so they can be used again, upcycling, through the addition of design, takes waste items forwards in the chain to become more beautiful, more valuable and hopefully more desirable for years to come.

Our Corporate Volunteering Program continues to roll out across the U.S. with employees in Atlanta taking part. Employees from the Alpharetta Office, as well as a couple from the Atlanta Cement Plant, volunteered to help an in-home child care center with some much needed repairs. Working with Atlanta-based non-profit Quality Care for Children, this child care center is a part of the Early Head Start Program, which seeks to ensure that Georgia's infants and young children are nurtured, educated and reach their full potential.
