About Blue Buffalo
EVERYTHING AT BLUE BUFFALO STARTS WITH A SIMPLE IDEA:

“Love them like family. Feed them like family.®”

Feeding healthy ingredients isn’t just a trend for us. It’s our history. Since we started in 2003, we’ve always used high-quality natural ingredients with real meat first. Never any corn, wheat or soy. And no poultry by-product meals. It’s been that way since day one for every product we’ve ever created. And it always will be.
The BLUE Story
We think of our dogs and cats as family members, so we believe their food should be natural and healthy. In fact, this was the sole reason for starting the Blue Buffalo Company. When the beloved Bishop family dog, Blue, faced a variety of health issues, Bill and his two sons set out to create a pet food that was made with only the highest quality natural ingredients—the kind of things a family member deserves. Ten years later we have, in many ways, accomplished what we set out to do—help our dogs and cats live happy, healthy lives. And we’re only getting started!
Work for BLUE
Looking for steady, part-time work that is actually fun?

A great job for dog and cat lovers like you?

Can you strike up a conversation with just about anyone?

Would you like to spread the word about BLUE to others?

We’re looking for energetic and enthusiastic people to start conversations with pet parents in pet stores about healthy, all-natural pet food.

You’ll have the luxury of roaming the entire store to talk with all sorts of concerned pet owners who are looking for the best information and products for their pets.

This is a steady, part-time position, so you can expect to have the opportunity to work each and every week. Coaching is provided and there are positions available throughout the country.

With your passion for BLUE, you can spread the word about natural, healthy BLUE dog and cat food.
Work Environment
The love we have for dogs and cats is something we all share in our office. On any given day, several dogs of all sizes and breeds roam the halls, have an occasional wrestling match, and give their input in new product meetings. It’s a refreshing break in a fast-paced environment filled with talented and smart people who want to keep delivering the best foods possible for all our furry family members—and it’s also what makes Blue Buffalo unlike any office you’ve ever been around.
Culture at BLUE
N. A. Policy

Herd mantra: “Who you ride the river (or roam the plains) with is just as important as where you’re going!” Hence:

1. No barking, growling or whining (furry co-workers get a pass most of the time).
2. No alpha-dog office politics.
3. No ego maniacs.
4. No “MY squeak toy, mine!” We’re a team who shares ideas, workload, even sandwiches.
5. No “I’m just here for the treats,” though there are quite a few perks, including monthly pet food allowances.

Love them like Family. Feed them like Family.®

Blue Buffalo® is a family of like-minded pet parents and animal lovers who joined together for one reason: to support the health and well-being of furry family members everywhere.

There are no employees here

1. Everyone is a Herd member.
2. Herd members are friends.
3. Herd members are part of the Buff family.
BLUE Giving Back
Blue Buffalo’s Pet Cancer Awareness initiative was established in 2003. Finding a cure for pet cancer is one of the top priorities for Blue Buffalo because its founders have had very personal experience with this disease. “Our dog Blue, a large breed Airedale and a great pal, had three bouts with cancer,” said Bill Bishop, Blue Buffalo’s founder. “After Blue’s battles, we wanted to do something meaningful to help find a cure for this devastating disease. So one of the first things we did after starting our pet food company was to establish our Pet Cancer Awareness initiative to raise money for pet cancer research, and raise awareness among pet parents of the early warning signs of this disease.”
