Sierra Pacific Industries started in 1949 with one sawmill in Humboldt, CA. Since that time, we have grown to be one of the largest lumber and millwork producers in the U.S., employing nearly 5,000 crew members.

Sierra Pacific owns and sustainably manages nearly 2 million acres of timberland in California and Washington. We are growing forests for our future, planting over 6 million new trees every year. Our forests are managed under a 100-year plan by Registered Professional Foresters, Wildlife Biologists, Botanists, and other professionals.

We effectively utilize nearly 100% of every piece of wood we bring to our mills. In fact, the small amount that isn’t turned into windows, millwork, lumber, or landscaping material is actually converted into electricity in our seven biomass-fueled power plants.

Our Sierra Pacific Windows division crafts windows and doors from select wood species grown and harvested in our own forests. We are the only window company that oversees our products from the moment the tree seeds are planted until our beautiful wood windows are produced and delivered. Now, we’re one of the largest window companies in the world. We have more than 600 dealers and distributors with sales in 30 countries around the world.

At SPI, we produce everything from timbers and framing lumber to fencing and specialty products from our 14 sawmills in California and Washington. All of our mills utilize state-of-the-art computer technology which individually analyzes each log and guides experienced equipment operators to produce the highest quality boards.

Sierra Pacific Windows made our debut as a national brand at the 2017 Internal Builders' Show in Orlando.

Sierra Pacific Industries turns "wood waste" into energy for homes and businesses through eight state-of-the-art cogeneration plants. Together, these facilities produce over 150 megawatts of electrical power. That is enough power for 150,000 homes. To SPI, sustainability means that we will continuously invest in and grow new forests, while never harvesting more than we grow.
