Madix has become a fixture in the retailing world and beyond. Through its handful of factories in Texas, Alabama, and Massachusetts, Madix manufactures more than 65,000 products, including store fixtures, point-of-purchase displays, workstations, heavy-duty racking, and storage products. The company operates distribution centers throughout the US and the UK. Selling its products worldwide, its customers include airports, hospitals, retailers, Internet cafes, and government agencies. Madix was established in 1982 through the merger of Dixie Craft Manufacturing and Maytex Store Fixtures. It further expanded in 2003 with the purchase of Spencer Products. The company is owned by its management.

Operations

Madix, which caters to many of the top 20 retailers, designs fixtures and racks for retail stores. Its facilities span more than 2.4 million sq. ft. of production space. Madix manufactures specialty products and displays using metal, wire, and wood. Known for its tool and die facilities, Madix designs and builds all of its own tooling and roll formers and leverages robotic centers and laser centers on its production floor.

Madix subsidiary, National Installers, provides customers with installation services.

Sales and Marketing

The company caters to a variety of firms, such as those who sell apparel and shoes, groceries, hardware and home improvement items, farm supplies, office and party supplies, and health and beauty items, among others. The company maintains a slim inventory but utilizes a Just-in-Time production method to maximize resources while quickly responding to customer requests.
