About American Bar Association
The ABA is the largest voluntary association of lawyers in the world. Our members include lawyers from all specialties, judges, court administrators, legal academics and law students. As the national voice of the legal profession, we work to improve the administration of justice, promote programs that assist lawyers and judges in their work, accredit law schools, provide continuing legal education and work to build public understanding around the world of the importance of the rule of law. While primarily based in Chicago and Washington, D.C., our 900 staff members stretch across the globe through our rule of law and other programs.
Mission: To serve ABA members, the legal profession and the public by defending liberty and delivering justice.
