Our market area covers approximately 20,000 square miles with 26 locations in Illinois and 1 location in Farmersburg, Indiana.
The Equity was founded in 1919 by a group of farmers who slowly expanded the company. In 1949, a grain elevator, warehouse, hammermill, and feed mixer were built north of Effingham along the Canadian National Railroad.
Today, The Equity has 27 Illinois locations in south-central Illinois that encompass 20,000 square miles.
While The Equity has grown and developed over the years, the focus on agriculture has remained the same. The Equity’s main purpose is to help its members obtain the goods and services they need to farm as efficiently and profitably as possible. Through ongoing hard work, The Equity will continue to “Lead the Way” in agribusiness.
