About The Prince of wales
WELCOME TO The Prince of wales, BASLOW
You will still find that comfortable chair by the fire during the cold and crisp winter days and space at our warm and buzzing bar. When British Summer time arrives, our guests can enjoy the Terrace overlooking the rolling hills, dine in the bright gallery dining room, or take an action-packed seat in the Open Kitchen all year round.

Our four-legged friends with their well-behaved owners are always welcome in the bar area.

We look forward to welcoming you to our cosy Village Pub soon.

The Prince of wales Team

The Prince of wales is a Village Pub & Restaurant in the Heart of Baslow, in the Peak District, the oldest National Park in the UK, where you will find a very warm welcome from our friendly team of lovely, local folk. Our team serve a great selection of local artisan ales, beers, delicious wines, gins & botanicals. We source local fresh produce using the finest ingredients Derbyshire and the Peak District has to offer.

From farm to fork, we can proudly vouch for the provenance of all the food we prepare; from the grass-fed beef reared on the rolling hills of Baslow, to the creamy and buttery Stanage Millstone Cheese from Cow Close Farm just around the corner.

So, whether you are in need of the ultimate gin & tonic to start your weekend, fantastic fish & chips, or a seriously succulent Sunday Roast, you’ll be sure to find it at The Prince of wales.
