Hughes has 28 shops located mainly across East Anglia. They vary in size from small units serving a local community, to large out of town stores serving a bigger catchment. All the shops are branded Hughes and all sell and rent a mix of audio-visual products, large and small kitchen appliances as well as accessories and some IT equipment. All shops compete on the quality of customer service with prices matched to online competition meaning that profit is made from supplying services and from rental.

Technical service staff will undertake repair of customers own equipment either by referral from the supplier or direct from the customer.
