Mission

We strive to ensure our facility, procedures, and staff exceed industry standards in order to provide the best experience and care for you and your dog.

Our Facility

Ruff Housing is licensed by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture. Our facilities are state-of-the-art and include special rubber flooring in playrooms, as well as K9 Grass; an artificial grass designed specifically for dogs, in all outdoor play yards.

Our Staff

All staff members are certified in Pet First Aid by the American Red Cross. In addition, each employee is taken through a rigorous training process which integrates hands on training with educational videos, reading materials, and a series of tests that must be successfully completed before becoming a certified playroom attendant. We also provide continuing education for all employees, as well as numerous opportunities for advancement.

Ruff Housing is owned by Kim Vaughn. Kim is a UNC Chapel Hill alum and former Vice President at BB&T. Trading the corporate world for our four legged friends is a decision she does not regret in the slightest!
