About Neiman Marcus
Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, the Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. is comprised of four luxury retailers: Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Last Call, and Horchow. Herbert Marcus, Sr., his sister Carrie Marcus, and her husband A. L. Neiman founded Neiman Marcus in 1907. When the senior Marcus passed in 1950, his son, Stanley Marcus began his legendary tenure “minding the store.” “Mr. Stanley”, business genius, art connoisseur, and visionary, would go on to become an icon every bit as influential as the store bearing his name. For over a century, we have set the standard for the industry, offering superior service & the finest goods the world has to offer, including shoes, handbags, jewelry, beauty products, and home décor.
The Heart of NMOUR COMMITMENT IS TO GIVING BACK
Since 2013, the Heart of Neiman Marcus has been helping provide enriching arts experiences to youth.
Since our inception in 1907, Neiman Marcus has maintained a rich history of community support. In 2013, we refined our focus, targeting our social investments toward organizations that provide enriching art education and experiences to youth... because ART changes lives.
Research has proven that students who receive arts in their curriculum tend to matriculate and graduate at higher rates, score higher on the SAT, and become more creative problem solvers and engaged civic leaders.
As of 2013, 70% of our charitable giving has been directed to nonprofit organizations that specifically provide youth arts education. The remaining 30% fund other critical programs and services.
At Neiman Marcus, we encourage our associates to get involved in their local communities by investing their time, talent, or treasure.
